Q2:
Where can I get information about hotel reservation and living conditions?

A2:
    Here it is: www.graphicon.ru/2000/hotel.htm

Q3:
Do You need to know the number of my flight?

A3:
We'd like to know flight numbers, dates and time of your arrival to / departure from Moscow for two reasons: hotel reservation and
scheduling of picking you up at the airport Sheremetevo-2.

Q4:
And what about using credit cards, and currency exchange in Moscow?

A4:
There are cash machines (ATMs) in Moscow, and you can get rubles or USD from your credit card. Visa, Mastercard, and several others are suitable.
Cash (preferably USD and DM) can also be converted to rubles in Exchange offices. There are cash machines and bank services in the airport Sheremetevo 2 (it is encoded in your ticket as SVO).

Please take some amount of money in cash, USD are preferred. There's no need to declare any amount less then 500 USD.

Q5:
How to get to the Moscow University from the airport?

A5:
There are several ways to get to the University from Sheremetyevo 2. Three of them are described below:

Taxi. It costs about 10-20 USD. You'd better to take taxi from a transportation office. You can find several of them when you leave custom control.

Public transport. You can take public bus or minibus to get to a subway station. Bus #517 gets you to the station "Planernaya"  (North-West), and bus #551 gets you to the station "Rechnoy vokzal" (North-West). And then you have to get (with several changes) to the subway station "UNIVERSITET" (South-West). See  the scheme and then the map. In this case the cost is about 2 - 3 USD. This way is time-consuming and rather hard if your luggage is large.

Picking up. You will be met at the airport with car or mini-van. A person will wait for you at exit from custom control. There is a green corridor, and you can use it, if you have nothing to declare. Do not be in a harry after the custom. There are a lot of people meeting their guests, and it is not so simple deal to find each other. Please look for a slogan "GRAPHICON'2000". The cost is 15 USD for a single person, and 10 USD each, if 2 or more people arrive together. Confirm please that you'd like to be picked up.

Q7:
Is there any problem to enter with a portable PC in Russia, and then to leave Russia with it?

A7:
No problem. Problems might arise if you have ten PCs for selling. If you'd like to avoid any possible misunderstanding you can ask a custom officer, whether it is necessary to declare it. I never did that, and never had any problems.

Q8:
I would like to take my camera to take some pictures of Moscow. Is there some problem towards the customs? towards authority ? towards muscovite people ?

A8:
No problem. As far as I know it is prohibited to take pictures inside such places as churches, museums, Lenin mausoleum. In this case a slogan warns you about that beforehand.
